Baby Queen offers a glimpse into the life of Opera Tang, an aspiring drag queen in Singapore. Director Yuan Bin Lei follows her journeys from her first steps as a drag queen to her participation in competitions and even the involvement of her supportive grandmother in the drag world. Along the way, the challenges and joys of self-development are explored in a society that is often incomprehensible to otherness. A film that treats radical self-acceptance as both a personal and political act.
