The Violent Youth (Minsk/Augsburg) Founded in Minsk, Belarus, and based since 2017 in Augsburg, Germany, The Violent Youth is an unmistakably unique new wave, post-punk duo led by talented Belarussian singer, visual artist and multi-instrumentalist Arthur Tsymbal. Live, the band plays as a duo, with Julian Riegel on bass. Starting its ascent from the Minsk underground post-punk scene, TVY entered western Europe with confidence, moving to Germany and sharing the stage with new German artists such as Drangsal and Edwin Rosen. Since their inception, The Violent Youth have released several DIY music videos, independently released singles and 3 albums, garnering a growing global fanbase. In 2023, the band announced their global signing to Toronto-based label Artoffact Records. Their recent, fourth album “Na Igle” is sure to captivate fans of current, modern post-punk and will appeal to fans of Molchat Doma, Actors & Lebanon Hanover.
