Desire is never just personal - it’s political. Bodies resist, disrupt and renegotiate power, testing the limits of norms and the spaces they occupy. From queer sex workers gathering in a retreat to individuals searching for sexual freedom in deeply conservative environments, these films reveal how togetherness can become an act of resistance. Public spaces are reclaimed, rigid ideas of masculinity begin to crack and beauty standards are confronted by self-worth. At a time when contemporary fascism tries to erase dissident bodies, these stories insist on visibility, pleasure, and autonomy. Maybe the real question is surprisingly simple: Why isn’t being close one of the easiest things on earth?
