In the piece (Keine) Blaskapelle ohne Männer, the performers explore the desire for and possibilities of change within and around a deeply rooted community such as the traditional brass band. How do we want to wear a Dirndl? What do we do with all this brass music? Can we make Salzburgs traditions our own and shape them in a way that makes them relevant to us? The participatory performance explores local traditions as well as questions of access and belonging, and examines the potential for change.
In dem Stück (Keine) Blaskapelle ohne Männer fragen die Performerinnen nach dem Wunsch und Möglichkeiten der Veränderung innerhalb und im Umfeld einer fest verankerten Community wie der traditionellen Blaskapelle. Wie wollen wir ein Dirndl tragen? Was machen wir mit all der Blasmusik? Können wir uns Salzburgs Traditionen aneignen und sie so gestalten, dass sie für uns relevant werden? Die partizipative Performance setzt sich mit lokalen Traditionen sowie mit Fragen von Zugang und Zugehörigkeit auseinander und lotet das Potenzial für Veränderung aus.
