RAINBOW MIGRANTS
by Manfred Rott
"Filmmaking is about connecting human beings," writes Austro-French director Manfred Rott in the statement about his new doc film RAINBOW MIGRANTS. The film introduces us to the lives of Diak, Rhokhaya and Maxime, who were forced to flee their home countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and confronts us with the odyssey they had to go through before arriving in Paris. Eventually, in France, they are facing another terrifying challenge - proving their sexual orientation to the authorities in order to receive asylum.
